Welcome to my portfolio website!

No, I am not affiliated with “Harold and the Purple Crayon.” I'm just partial to purple.

My work can be seen on the screens of digital devices, on the clothing of artists and athletes, in printed ink, on the stage, and in the sky. I have served as a UX designer and interface engineer on software projects. Outside of tech, I have supported creative projects ranging from interactive theatrical experiences to apparel merchandising with product design, copywriting, accessibility consultation, and fabrication.

I believe in using design to make information and opportunities available to all people. I am most passionate about working with individuals and organizations whose missions align with my values: animal rights, habitat restoration, human liberty, language revitalization, and sustainable agriculture.

• Tailor your message. I respect that we all have a job to do, but I am much more responsive to appropriate communication etiquette. Do your research; if I’m not your target audience, I won’t respond.
• Be transparent with your intentions. Whether you have a favor to ask, an opportunity to offer, or anything in betweeen I invite you to be direct about it. Please don’t ask to “pick [my] brain” unless you’re a neuroscientist with a compelling reason. If you wish to meet with me for coffee, please let me know what you would like to discuss within the initial invitation. My feedback tends to be very direct; let me know in advance if you would prefer gentle guidance.
• Respect professional boundaries. If we meet in an occupational context, I will give you the default courtesy of treating you as a professional and expect that you reciprocate the same. I recommend messaging me on Instagram if you want to interact with me in a social capacity.
